I now have the option to participate in our organization's 401k plan and I'm trying to select and/or allocate my contributions. I'm not sure which
sections I should be looking to invest as it's broken down into a CASH section, BONDS section, U.S. STOCKS section, INTERNATIONAL STOCKS section, and an
ASSET ALLOCATION section. And in each section there are categories that I can choose to contribute. I believe I read something about being conservative and
investing 60 - 80 % into Equity and on my sheet I found something called "DWS Equity 500 index S"; could that be what was suggested? And I can't
find anything called "stable value" on my sheet; could there be another name I should look for?

How old are you?
Approx. how many years until retirement? What is your risk/reward tolerance (very conservative, conservative, mildly aggressive, aggressive, very aggressive)? |
